A Simple Floral First Birthday Party

My third little girl is one! I can not believe it!

For my older two girls I went a bit overboard and threw huge parties (read about them here). This time around we just couldn’t swing it. Although it wasn’t going to be a big bash I still wanted to make it special and this day truly was one of the most wonderful birthdays. Just a few family members at our home, a perfect setting for my sweet girl. One of the good things about a smaller party is that I could really focus on Hazel and enjoying this day together.

Here are some pictures of Hazel’s big day.

I wanted something different than the typical first birthday sign and so I worked with BB Designs to create this beauty. I wrote this poem and she brought it to life. You might see a collaboration with The Gray Ruby Diaries and BB Designs coming soon 😉

How gorgeous is this wall from Sewt Co. They rent walls for all types of events. I loved having this backdrop for pictures!

The girls had a water balloon fight with my nephew and so everyone was playing in their undies 🙂

Can you believe my girl didn’t want to eat her cake?

Ok, changed her mind.

Hazel you bring us such joy. We had no idea on the day you were born that you would brighten our lives like you do. There can not be a happier baby on this earth and for that I am forever grateful. You remind me that even the darkest of days can be better with just a smile. Thank you for one of the most wonderous years my sweet girl. I count my lucky stars each day for the worlds most precious gift, my third daughter!
