This fall my girls are in all kinds of activities. From music lessons to gymnastics, we come into contact with a lot of kids, and a lot of germs. To build my girl’s immune system and to fend off those pesky germs I like to give my girls a detox bath at least once a week.
This is the recipe we use in our house for our toddler detox bath and not only is it great for their immune system, but it also makes their skin silky soft.
1/2 cup of Epsom Salt
1/4 cup of baking soda
1 tablespoon coconut oil
2 drops of lavender essential oil
I just had all of these items into a warm bath and enjoy!
On detox bath days we don’t use soaps or wash hair, we just soak for 20 minutes to get the benefits. The coconut oil can make the girl’s hair pretty greasy so we try to refrain from getting our hair wet. Easier said than done.
Now, remember, I’m not a doctor, I can’t promise you any results, I’m just sharing what me and my family use and what we feel is safe in our home.
