A Tropical Luau Birthday Party – Edith turns 4

Tropical Luau Birthday Party

My daughter asked if she could have a pool party birthday this year. That got me thinking. Pineapples, flamingos and all things Hawaii! I wanted to create  a sweet and girly tropical luau for my sweet girl and let me tell you I was just excited about creating this party for her as she was to have it.luau party cake table

Even though I wanted it to be a luau I didn’t want to take the theme too literal. My goal for this party was for it to be bright and simple and I knew I had to incorporate my daughters favorite color, pink.

I created a simple cake table with just a few of my daughters favorite sweets.

I used the balloon garland to add a dramatic flare (read all about how I made it HERE) and the beautiful Aloha sign was made by one of my favorite shops for party supplies Glitter Party Co.

The Aloha sign, flamingo cake topper, cupcake/donut topper, and leaf garland all came from her shop. I love that she can customize just about anything and the quality is amazing.

Glitter Party Co also carries balloons and the pineapple and watermelon were the perfect addition to our tropical luau.

We offered some more of my daughters favorites snacks on the food table. Chips, pretzels and goldfish (healthy, right?!?) with fruit and chicken nuggets. I brought in more of the tropical luau theme with the big leaves, real pineapples and sand buckets as food containers. My daughter loved this and thought it was so funny to scoop her food with a shovel.

We also had these cute pineapple cups that each kid got to take home as favors. I snuck one to keep for myself too, they were just too cute.

Who doesn’t love a piñata?!?! The kids had a blast but I was secretly sad watching this cute guy get smashed.

Like I said before it was a pool party. Our party was at a city pool which had the perfect kids area. Everyone had a blast!

Edith’s  party came out exactly how I wanted it to and most importantly my family had a great time. Here are a few more pictures of our special day and scroll all the way down to see where we got all the items for our tropical luau birthday party.
